About the job
Senior medical responsibility in Internal Medicine, a workload from 80% and an in-house hospital daycare centre - are you looking for exactly this combination? And how about working just 35 minutes by train from Bern, around 50 minutes from Basel and Zurich, and about an hour from the German border?
Our client is a public hospital with a central function. It belongs to a cantonal hospital group, which is one of the largest employers in the region. The Clinic for General Internal Medicine cares for the internal medicine wards (around 100 beds) together with the special disciplines in the house: Cardiology, Neurology with Stroke Unit, Gastroenterology, Nephrology with Dialysis, Oncology and Haematology, Endocrinology/Diabetology, Pneumology and Infectiology. In addition, there is an interdisciplinary emergency department, an intensive care unit and an IMC. For you, this means broad internal medicine, and the specialists are accessible in-house. The medical management team comprises over 20 doctors, including at least 15 senior physicians. The clinic is recognised as a training centre of the highest category for General Internal Medicine.
You live and work in a manageable town with a historic old town. The location is central like hardly any other place in the Swiss Midlands. On weekdays, a train departs every 15 minutes to Bern, the journey takes 35 minutes. Basel and Zurich can be reached in around 50 minutes without detours. Basel lies directly on the border, from there long-distance trains run to Frankfurt and Berlin. Visits to family and friends in Germany can therefore also be planned spontaneously. Zurich Airport is reachable by train in just over an hour. In summer, families bathe at secured bathing spots in the river right in the region. Hiking and cycling routes start directly on your doorstep.
