Description and Requirements
As an Acquisition Key Account Manager for Public Sector customers in Switzerland, you will drive new-customer acquisition and sustainable growth across the Swiss German-speaking market. This customer-facing sales role combines a strong focus on winning new business with the ongoing development of newly acquired accounts across Lenovo’s devices, solutions, services, and data center portfolio. You will join Lenovo’s Swiss Enterprise & Public team and work closely with customers, business partners, and international internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute acquisition strategies to win new Public Sector customers in Switzerland.
• Position and sell Lenovo’s devices, data center solutions, services, and wider technology portfolio.
• Build strategic account plans that support customer acquisition, revenue growth, and long-term partnerships.
• Identify, qualify, progress, and close sales opportunities through proposals, formal tenders, and RFP processes.
• Manage relationships with newly acquired customers through their initial growth and development phase.
• Collaborate with business partners and internal teams, including Channel, Inside Sales, Pre-Sales, Bid Management, and Operations.
• Maintain accurate opportunity management, forecasting, pipeline reporting, and business planning against agreed targets.
• Represent Lenovo as a reliable customer partner by communicating transparently, meeting commitments, and following through on agreed actions.
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• At least five years of successful B2B sales experience within the IT or technology industry.
• Demonstrated experience acquiring new customers and developing complex commercial opportunities.
• Knowledge of Public Sector procurement, formal tenders, WTO processes, or government customer environments is highly desirable.
• Experience selling workplace technology, PCs, data center solutions, infrastructure, services, or a comparable technology portfolio.
• Fluent German and professional English are mandatory; French is an advantage but not required.
• Strong commercial judgment, negotiation capability, analytical thinking, and structured account-planning skills.
• A proactive, accountable, and collaborative working style, with the ability to build trust and deliver consistently on commitments.
