Occupational Therapist for the Early Intervention Service at STSA
We are looking for an occupational therapist, 60%, for the Autism Spectrum Disorders & related (STSA) Service, more specifically for the Northern Early Intervention Service, in Montagny-près-Yverdon, starting 01.08.2027.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Autism Spectrum Disorders & related (STSA) Service is a reference service in the canton of Vaud. Its missions focus on the care and support of minors and adults with ASD, network training and clinical research. Comprising a tertiary centre, regional structures, as well as cantonal and regional mobile teams, its activity is carried out in close partnership with professionals working in this field of expertise as well as user associations.
This service includes the Northern Early Intervention Service (DIP Nord), which is a pilot early intervention centre for young children with ASD, recognised by the OFAS*.
The intervention offered within the DIP is carried out by therapists trained in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) approach, in close partnership with families.
The aim of DIP Nord, in close collaboration with FYAE (Yverdon Foundation for Childcare) and the association l’Arche de Noé, is to welcome children aged 2 to 4 years, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), in their respective daycares. It implements developmental and behavioural care based on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) method. Focused on play, this method allows working on precise and individualised objectives for each child, to help them progress in communication and interactions as well as in all other areas of their development. The DIP team is multidisciplinary and includes a doctor, psychologists, educators, specialised early education teachers and occupational therapists. Interventions take place 15 hours each week in the presence of the child, distributed as follows: 3 half-days of 4 hours in the care structure, 1.5 hours of home intervention and 1.5 hours of intervention at DIP Nord.
