(Junior) Network Engineer

Since 1995, Cyberlink AG has been an independent Swiss managed service provider for ICT infrastructures. The company employs 40 dedicated staff who design, build and operate complex infrastructures every day. The service portfolio includes cloud and connectivity services and is exclusively aimed at business customers. Cyberlink is 100 percent owned by Swiss management.

Its cloud platform is among the most modern in Switzerland and the services provided on it are audited according to the ISAE-3402 standard.

As a (Junior) Network Engineer, you have the chance to expand your technical know-how and actively participate in the design and optimisation of our network infrastructure. Through close collaboration with sparring partners from operations and engineering, you make an important contribution to the success of the team.

This could be your new mission:

• You are responsible for planning and commissioning new connectivity services and carry out adjustments and cancellations of existing services.
• You are also responsible for supporting and advising a variety of business customers and partners in 1st and 2nd level support.
• To ensure continuous support for your customers, you are willing to occasionally perform on-call duty. 
• You actively participate in the operation and continuous development of the Cyberlink Core Network.
• In addition, you contribute to the design of new connectivity services, including the development of operational processes.

What you bring with you.

Network engineering is your passion and you are motivated to further expand your expertise in the dynamic provider environment - all with a view of Lake Zurich?

If you also bring the following skills and experience, you will definitely master your future job successfully:

• You have completed training in computer science or have comparable experience.
• You also have sound knowledge in the field of networks. TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching are not foreign terms to you.
• You already have experience configuring network components.
• To communicate complex technical issues clearly, you have good German and English skills.
• To be able to carry out on-site deployments in the data centre or at your customers, you hold a category B driving licence.
• You enjoy getting to know new technologies and continuously deepening your knowledge in these areas.

Optional superhero skills:

• You are Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certified.
• You have experience in the security field.
• You have experience in scripting (e.g. Python) as well as SQL.
• You have experience in process design and optimisation.
