Role:
In this role, you take on the medical and organisational leadership responsibility in emergency medicine and thus significantly shape the quality of acute medical care. You are responsible for the structured assessment and treatment of emergency patients and make rapid, well-founded decisions even in highly dynamic situations. In addition, you lead and coach assistant and specialist doctors, promote their further training and ensure efficient interdisciplinary collaboration. Another focus is the continuous optimisation of workflows, processes and treatment pathways to increase patient safety and efficiency. Through your commitment, you contribute decisively to the further development of emergency medicine and a high medical care standard.
Responsibilities:
- You independently treat patients in an interdisciplinary emergency department from the entire spectrum of clinical emergency medicine (excluding gynaecology and obstetrics).
- In this role, you take responsibility in the shock room and resuscitation team and perform common as well as advanced emergency ultrasound examinations.
- You promote the further training of young doctors and accompany them on the path to specialist titles and certificates in clinical emergency medicine and emergency sonography.
- As a medical service leader in emergency medicine, you use the modern infrastructure to ensure contemporary care for the patients entrusted to you.
- You actively engage in the realignment and further development of interdisciplinary and interprofessional emergency medicine at the Sursee location.
Qualifications:
- You hold or are about to complete a specialist title in general internal medicine, surgery or anaesthesia.
- You have solid experience in the interdisciplinary care of emergency patients.
- Ideally, you bring the ISP Clinical Emergency Medicine SGNOR or a comparable qualification.
- Advanced knowledge in emergency sonography rounds off your professional profile.
- As a committed, resilient personality, you convince with high team spirit and pronounced communication skills.
- Decisiveness, enjoyment of structured interprofessional collaboration and pronounced bedside teaching skills characterise you.
