About the job
The EFAJE is a network that brings together 31 municipalities from the Gros-de-Vaud district and surrounding areas wishing to unite their efforts to manage and develop quality day care services in order to better meet the needs of their citizens. To date, three sectors are represented: Family Day Care, which includes around sixty family-based carers, nine preschool facilities, and nineteen after-school facilities. As part of a maternity leave replacement, we are looking for a:
Childcare Educator or Socio-Educational Assistant at 61% (Fixed-term Contract)
The position is located at the Hirondelle Daycare in Bercher, which has 64 places divided into four groups. The position concerns the Explorers group (2-3 years old). The working time is spread over 4 days per week (day off on Thursday).
Your duties:
- Provide quality support to the children cared for, ensuring their well-being and safety in accordance with the institutional project and current regulations.
- Identify quality-related issues based on your theoretical knowledge. Propose courses of action and implement them in the child’s best interest.
- Foster a quality relationship and exchanges with families and external services.
Your profile:
You enjoy teamwork and demonstrate adaptability, interpersonal ease, and professional awareness. Caring and patient, you know how to take initiative, work independently, and assume your responsibilities.
Several years of professional experience with the relevant age group is desirable.
Holder of a tertiary ES/HES diploma or equivalent, or a secondary diploma (CFC), you have Swiss nationality or a valid residence permit, as well as a clean criminal record.
