VAT Audit Specialist (m/f/d)
Role:
For our ROCKEN partner, an institution in the field of tax consulting/auditing located in Bern, we are immediately seeking a committed individual for the external audit of small and medium-sized enterprises across all sectors in the cantons of Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Solothurn. You contribute to ensuring that VAT continues to be correctly accounted for and conduct risk-oriented, independent audits of taxpayers.
Responsibilities:
You conduct risk-oriented, independent audits in the cantons of BS, BL and SO with taxpayers or their representatives in German
You examine, interpret and evaluate balance sheets, income statements as well as financial and operational accounting
You calculate, justify and discuss any tax differences with the taxpayer
You advise taxpayers on the correct accounting of VAT
You participate in projects and specialist groups
Qualifications:
You have advanced professional training in accounting, auditing, fiduciary services or taxation, or you are a business economist FH or business administrator HF with relevant professional experience
You bring initial knowledge of VAT and auditing techniques as well as analytical skills for assessing economic matters from a tax perspective
You are self-reliant, assertive and convincing, and present yourself confidently
You have good knowledge of a second official language; English skills are an advantage
