The Public Health Office is a central service of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden, responsible for various tasks. It implements the regulatory acts of federal and cantonal law and thus makes a substantial contribution to high-quality, safe and future-proof healthcare at the cantonal level. The office is divided into the following specialist areas: Health promotion and prevention, cantonal medical service, authorisation and quality, rescue service, legal service and staff headquarters.
For the staff headquarters of the Public Health Office, we are looking for a financial controller with specialist knowledge in data analysis, starting from January 2027 or by agreement.
- On-site audits (including report) at healthcare institutions entitled to subsidies in the areas of hospital statistics, cost accounting and general accounting, as well as specific audits in accordance with legal provisions (teaching and research, pre-hospital rescue and medical transport service, training and further education of nursing staff) for the purpose of determining subsidies
- Independent data analysis for the preparation of statistics and development of this area
- Calculation of subsidies for service providers for practical training in nursing professions and issuance of related decisions
- Preparation of service agreements with institutions entitled to subsidies and preparation of proposals for the government
- Independent execution of financial supervision activities within the framework of applicable regulations
- Higher economic education or equivalent professional diploma or solid commercial training with professional development in finance and accounting
- Insight, analytical thinking skills and a strong affinity for numbers
- Independent and precise working method
- Initiative, willingness, assertiveness and communication skills
- Familiarity with MS Office programmes and AI tools; experience with data analysis applications is an advantage
- Excellent written and spoken German skills; good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
