Your tasks

As a member of the school management, you are responsible for the educational and organisational leadership of our lower school (Sek-I level; 7th to 9th school year) and take on personnel responsibility for part of the teaching staff.
You maintain contact with the sending schools in the context of transitions and are the point of contact for concerns of classes, parents and teachers.
As the quality officer of the school management, you take the lead in our school development projects and quality work.
You are committed to offers and projects in our school environment (e.g. children’s kantonsschule, lunchtime care, etc.) and supervise school-wide departments (e.g. gifted and talented support).
In addition to these exciting leadership tasks, you will teach part-time.

Your profile

You have a completed university degree and a teaching diploma for grammar schools or an equivalent professional and pedagogical qualification. In addition, you have several years of teaching experience and are familiar with the current key topics of lower secondary education.
Ideally, you have completed school management training or are motivated to undertake such training (e.g. CAS School Management/Leadership).
You enjoy working with people, especially learners at the Sek I level, their parents and teachers, are strong in organisation and communication, and have an affinity for using ICT tools.
It is part of your school management role to work outside regular teaching hours (e.g. parent evenings, conferences, school events, etc.).

The Kantonsschule Beromünster is a regional, manageable 6-year long-term grammar school with the structures of a day school in the Lucerne Michelsamt. The long-term grammar school leads to the federally recognised gymnasial Matura.
