Department:DFFIEntity:Compulsory Education Service (SEEO) - Office of Specialised Pedagogy and Measures (OPSM)Activities:As part of your role, you collect relevant information to determine the individual needs of children and young people with special educational needs. As an SAP specialist with training as a specialised teacher, you collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, speech therapists, psychomotor therapists and specialised teachers. You determine, within a multidimensional approach, the actual needs of children or pupils’ situations, based on developmental and educational objectives. You represent the OPSM in school centres and advise school management or professionals responsible for supporting pupils facing significant difficulties. You maintain close contact with legal representatives and various concerned partners. You also assess projects for pupils benefiting from enhanced specialised pedagogy measures or for whom such measures are being considered. Your professional insight enables you to propose concrete and feasible improvement strategies to schools and to conduct information or training activities. Through your expertise and field knowledge, you contribute to the development of the cantonal concept of specialised pedagogy and the resulting services.Desired profile:Holder of a diploma in specialised pedagogy, specialising in specialised teaching, or an equivalent qualification, you have experience working with children or young people with special educational needs. You possess strong analytical and synthesis skills and can formulate well-founded assessments and clear recommendations, both orally and in writing. Your listening skills and interpersonal abilities allow you to establish constructive dialogue with families, school teams and various partners. You appreciate interdisciplinary work while demonstrating autonomy, rigour and discernment in managing your cases.
