About the job
The city of Dietikon is the fifth largest municipality in Zurich and also the district capital in the Limmattal with over 28,000 inhabitants. The social department is newly establishing a floating pool with permanently employed social workers. We are looking for employees who are not assigned to a team and work as needed in various offices of the social department in case management, primarily in social assistance and asylum care. Our work is guided by the principles of Positive Leadership and Empowerment.
Do you have a university of applied sciences degree in social work, experience in case management within social assistance, and are you looking for an exciting challenge? Then we are looking for you.
Start date: immediately or by arrangement
Fixed-term: The positions will initially be filled for a maximum of two years as part of a pilot project.
- Advising and supporting social assistance recipients or asylum seekers
- Initiating social and professional integration measures
- Calculation, verification and payment of social assistance benefits
- Cooperation with authorities and specialist agencies
- Participation in projects possible
- Completed education in social work at a university of applied sciences
- Sound knowledge in the field of social assistance and social insurance law (or interest and willingness to familiarise yourself with the work area)
- Interest in transcultural social work (advantageous)
- Flexibility and commitment: resilient and adaptable
- Technical affinity: good PC skills, experience with Tutoris advantageous
- Teamwork and communication: humour and openness
