About the job
This is what you can achieve
In your role, you work directly on the Swiss Air Force fighter jets and primarily take on the following tasks:
- Maintenance & Servicing: Carrying out scheduled maintenance intervals including replacement & testing of systems
- Repairs & Fault Finding: Analysing error messages, fault-finding processes and structural repairs
- Modification and Inspection Orders: Visual and functional checks after each flight (aircraft and system condition)
- Work documentation and quality management
- Attending internal training courses and sessions
What you bring with you
- Completed vocational training (EFZ) in the mechanical field, e.g. as a polymechanic, plant and apparatus builder, vehicle mechanic, diagnostician or comparable
- Strong technical skills
- Conversational English skills (level B1/B2) desired (for Payerne, additional French skills are an advantage)
- High commitment and flexibility
- Resilient personality with team player qualities, strong sense of responsibility / safety awareness and precise and reliable working methods
- Swiss citizenship (required due to the nature of the role)
