Senior SW Engineer (m/f/d)

As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner, Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are immediately seeking a motivated and dedicated Senior SW Engineer for a temporary assignment of one year with the possibility of extension

Tasks

• Develop concepts and participate in feasibility studies to meet technical requirements
• Perform and take ownership of specific software development tasks, ensuring reviews using checklists and templates
• Lead work package definition, estimation, and planning, and enhance or document SW unit specifications and designs
• Review designs and contribute to the SW architecture, defining quality attributes and staying updated with technology trends
• Conduct root-cause analysis of complex issues and provide bug fixes for post-market software releases.
• Ensure compliance with processes, propose improvements, and stay informed about regulatory and market standards

Must Haves

• University education in a software related field such as software or electrical engineering Industry experience.
• 2 years proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on Rust development.
• Solid understanding of Rust's core concepts, including ownership, borrowing, and lifetimes.
• Experience with asynchronous programming in Rust (e.g., using async/await).
• Familiarity with common Rust libraries and frameworks (e.g., tokio, actix-web, rocket, serde, sqlx).
• Experience with C++ and Linux
• Experience with Linux Dockers
• Basic scripting knowledge would be an advantage
• RabbitMQ knowledge would be an advantage
• Experience with CAN bus
• Event-Driven Architecture knowledge would be an advantage
• First experience working in regulated environments such as the medical device industry
• Highly motivated with focus on deadlines and a proactive and thorough way of working
• Fluent in English and German is advantageous
• Developers with an interest in interdisciplinary and hardware focussed applications as well as electronic engineer with a strong backgrounds and interest in software development are encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication and team working skills, flexibility, willingness to write good documentation and the drive to bring a product to its conclusion
