The CEDES Group operates in the field of photonics-based sensor technology across three continents. The product range extends from simple light barriers to highly complex, processor-controlled 3D camera systems using the latest TOF (time of flight) technology.

To strengthen our global purchasing organisation, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed, proactive, and energetic individual.

Your area of responsibility

• Development and implementation of forward-looking procurement strategies for electronic components, considering costs, quality, supply security, and risks
• Independent management and execution of local as well as global purchasing and optimisation projects
• Evaluation, introduction, and procurement of new, modified, or alternative components in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Ensuring the long-term availability of strategic purchasing items under competitive conditions
• Conducting contract and price negotiations as well as building sustainable supplier partnerships
• Active involvement in complaint, change, and product management processes
• Proactive collaboration with R&D, production, quality, and supply chain in an international matrix organisation

We expect from you

• Commercial or technical basic training, ideally supplemented by further education in purchasing
• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing and proven success in developing and implementing procurement strategies in the field of electronic components/production materials
• You navigate confidently within an international matrix organisation and understand how to coordinate collaboration between departments, locations, and various stakeholders purposefully
• Strong negotiation skills, confident demeanour, and excellent communication abilities
• Experience in conducting and evaluating make-or-buy decisions
• High quality awareness, technical understanding, and an entrepreneurial mindset and approach
• Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written
• Confident use of common MS Office applications
• Proactive, independent, and solution-oriented working style with high initiative
• Flexibility, resilience, and enthusiasm for continuous personal development
• Strong team spirit and the ability to actively promote cross-departmental collaboration
• Willingness to travel for work
