SCHNEEBERGER Maschinen AG develops and produces state-of-the-art CNC grinding machines with integrated robotics for the manufacture and regrinding of cutting tools and the production of diverse precision parts. Mechanical Design Engineer (80-100%)
As a design engineer, you are part of our development team and accompany projects from the initial idea to series maturity. You take responsibility for the design and continuous development of our machines.
What you can achieve with us:
- Design of assemblies and components for highly precise CNC tool grinding machines
- Development of technical solutions considering function, manufacturing, assembly, and cost-effectiveness
- Creation of 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and parts lists using Autodesk Inventor / proAlpha
- Participation in new developments as well as continuous optimisation of existing machines
- Close collaboration with assembly, production, purchasing, service, software, and electrical development
- Technical support during prototypes, tests, and commissioning
- Contribution to the standardisation and modularisation of our machine platforms
What we expect from you:
- Completed training as a design engineer EFZ or comparable technical basic education
- Experience in the design of machines or systems
- Good knowledge of 3D CAD, ideally Autodesk Inventor
- Enjoyment in solving technical challenges together as a team
- Independent, structured, and responsible working style
- Good German skills as well as English skills for technical documentation and collaboration in an international environment.
