• Leading and motivating the entire branch team
• Conducting employee interviews and performance evaluations
• Promoting a positive working atmosphere and team development
• Recruiting, onboarding, and developing employees
• Checking the continuous expansion of expertise
• Ensuring smooth and efficient branch operations
• Creating staff deployment planning
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations
• Responsible for cash register processes and daily cash reconciliations
• Monitoring product availability and inventory management
• Coordinating product presentation and assortment design according to corporate guidelines
• Personally advising and supporting customers regarding our entire small animal assortment
• Handling customer complaints 
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations

• Sales training, retail training and/or several years of experience in retail 
• Several years of leadership experience (coaching/development of employees, conducting annual employee evaluations, etc.)
• Trainer certificate or willingness to complete the trainer course (always necessary, possibly apprentices are already trained in the branch and the branch manager must be a certified trainer or apprentices will be trained in the future)
• Experience in pet specialty retail is an advantage
• Flexible sales personality with a passion for animals
• Responsible working style as well as neat and friendly appearance
• Team spirit and communication skills 
• Organizational skills (hands-on mentality), endurance, and stress resistance
