Graduate Assistant in Economic Sociology
Position Information
Start date: 1 February 2027
Contract duration: 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years
Work rate: 100%
Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny Salary: CHF 67,568.- (increasing each year)
Your Activities
- At least 50% of the work rate will be dedicated to completing a doctoral thesis in economic sociology. We are looking for a candidate interested in the forms and repercussions of contemporary capitalism (ideally from a life course perspective).
- Up to 50% of the work rate will be devoted to supporting teaching and research tasks (teaching activities under the responsibility of a professor, research work not related to personal research, and activities related to the life of the affiliated unit).

Your Profile
We wish to hire a person with the following profile:
- Master’s degree in social sciences, or equivalent qualification;
- Good knowledge of and interest in social science methods (quantitative and qualitative);
- Project to develop a thesis in economic sociology (ideally from a life course perspective);
- Proficiency in French and English.
