A cantonal public law institution, the CNP is tasked with leading the health policy of the canton of Neuchâtel in the field of mental health, in collaboration with partner institutions. The CNP aims to rehabilitate patients suffering from mental disorders through the adoption of an integrated and community psychiatry model; it implements public policies for the promotion and prevention of mental health; it acts as a reference centre in the field of professional training and research in psychiatry.

As a Nurse Case Manager within the Treatment and Early Intervention in Psychotic Disorders programme (TIPP-Neuchâtel), you will support young adult patients and their relatives in their care and in maintaining their community ties through various biopsychosocial interventions.
In your role you will be expected to:
- Ensure nursing case management of young patients presenting a first psychotic episode or a high-risk state.
- Conduct clinical and psychosocial assessments and participate in the development of an individualised care plan.
- Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team and network partners.
- Encourage patient engagement in care and develop a lasting therapeutic alliance.
- Intervene flexibly and proactively, including in community settings.
- Participate in treatment follow-up and prevention of care discontinuities.
- Support and assist relatives and the patient’s social circle.
- Support social and professional reintegration.
- Contribute to early detection and destigmatisation actions.
- Adopt a recovery-oriented and early intervention approach.
The skills required for this position are as follows:
- Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross.
- Training or experience in case management is an asset for the role.
- At least 3 years’ experience in psychiatry, including at least one in outpatient care.
- Possession of a driving licence.
- Mastery of clinical basics in psychiatry, particularly in early psychotic disorders.
- Ability to provide nursing case management and close follow-up.
- Ability to conduct a comprehensive assessment integrating clinical, psychosocial and functional dimensions.
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team and in partnership with the psychiatrist.
- Interpersonal skills fostering therapeutic alliance and patient engagement.
- Flexibility in intervention, with a community and mobile approach.
- Competence in collaborating with relatives and the patient’s network.
- Strong orientation towards recovery and life projects.
- Know-how in coordinating social, educational and professional partners.
- Sensitivity to prevention, early detection and destigmatisation issues.
