About the job
Learn museum activities: You will gain a versatile insight into the museum and exhibition activities of the Paper Restoration department and collect valuable experience in a dedicated team. You support the restorers in all tasks of everyday museum work.
Conservation and restoration: You will assist in the conservation and restoration care of the collection (14th-21st century) and support the restorers in the preventive conservation of works on paper.
Loan traffic: Your tasks also include co-managing the loan traffic: preparation of loans and creation of condition reports.
Experience: You bring a great interest in museum work, have good IT skills, and have initial experience in handling databases.
Personality: You are a responsible, open-minded, and enthusiastic person who enjoys working in a team. You have a strong interest in conservation and restoration work in a museum, as well as a quick grasp. Independence, resilience, and flexibility complete your profile.
Education: A completed degree in the field of conservation and restoration of paper (Bachelor) is a prerequisite for application.
Language: Good oral and written German skills are required. In addition, you have good knowledge of English and possibly French.
