Job Description

As a Data Migration Lead, you bring your skills to define the strategy and coordinate all activities related to end-to-end data management (data cleansing, extraction, transformation up to loading into the target system). You will be able to demonstrate how you have designed solutions considering business/functional needs, technical constraints, and alignment with the project schedule.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

• Define the migration strategy: Identification/collection of objects to be migrated, method for migrating ongoing transactions, master data, migration tools to be used, project schedule, and various dry runs.
• Manage / Facilitate the general and detailed design phase with the support of migration teams, leading your stream and participating in the project committee to share status updates.
• Implement the migration strategy ensuring the involvement of stakeholders, whether Capgemini functional consultants or client representatives.
• Prepare and manage migration teams on the progress of migration cycles across different test environments, pre-production up to production deployment.
• Communicate with the client and project management by alerting on encountered difficulties and sharing associated action plans.
• Develop trust with client stakeholders, key partners such as SAP, and internal teams.

Profile

• Mandatory knowledge of SAP ECC6 and S/4, and desirable knowledge of IBP, Ariba, C4C…
• Expertise in migration tools such as Data Services (formerly BODS), LTMC (Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit), SDT (Selective Data Transition)
• Project management experience involving client and internal teams in France and internationally (e.g., India)
• Organisational and team management skills, partly based offshore
• Interest in understanding, analysing, and interdependency of data
• Functional knowledge to understand business challenges in Finance, Management Control, Purchasing, Sales, Production, Quality, Logistics, etc.
• Interest in migration technology watch
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience presenting to client stakeholders up to steering committees
• Participate in pre-sales activities by providing expertise on SAP GRC, contributing to tender responses, and conducting client demonstrations.
• You are fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
