Two Spice – that’s us! A creative and innovative gastronomy and lifestyle company from Zurich. Since 1990, we have been developing unique concepts and brands that inspire. Our establishments at central hotspots stand for quality, design, and special moments of enjoyment.
Purchasing with us is anything but one-dimensional. You procure for 30 restaurants and take-out stores, for our own manufactory that produces sushi for the Coop Group, as well as for international trade products from China, Japan, and South Korea. Three worlds – one function.
Nine brands, 30 locations, our own production, and an international trading business: procurement with us is versatile, dynamic, and anything but run-of-the-mill.
Our purchasing department was restructured a year ago. The foundations are laid, the potential is great. Now we are looking for someone who seizes the opportunities and actively develops purchasing further.

Responsibilities
- You take over a team of 4 employees, give roles and responsibilities clear contours, and develop each individual further. Those who want to pull along will grow with you.
- You bring structure to processes, optimise workflows, and drive automation forward.
- From food and beverages to exclusive trade products. You decide what is procured locally and what is imported, with sourcing markets in Switzerland, Europe, and Asia (focus on China, Japan, South Korea). Best conditions, best quality, no matter the origin.
- You maintain existing relationships, build new ones, and consistently negotiate the best conditions. Best quality at the best price is no coincidence, but your job.
- You know the rules of the game and ensure that goods arrive on time and under the right conditions.
- You are responsible for all purchasing and sales items in the system, including cash register configuration and price maintenance. Clean data is the basis for everything we want to automate, and we want to automate a lot.
- We communicate openly. You work closely with production, product development, and other teams.
- You monitor markets, recognise trends and risks early, and contribute your recommendations to the strategic development of purchasing.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, with a foundation in the food industry or trade. If you also understand how gastronomy ticks, even better.
- Leadership experience and the understanding that leadership is more than just delegating tasks.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
- Knowledge of import, customs, and international sourcing.
- Confident use of MS Office and ERP systems.
- Fluent in German and English.
- And most importantly: You don’t want to manage. You want to shape.
