Field Staff LFI 80 - 100% (m/f/d)
The Forest Resources and Forest Management research unit records and analyses changes in the landscape and forest and is looking for a member in the Scientific Service LFI group (job sharing possible) from March 2027 for 8 to 9 months annually recurring
The research group conducts fieldwork for the 6th National Forest Inventory (LFI6) from March/April to November, which provides important foundations for politics, forestry practice and research. On around 300 sample plots, you will annually record the condition of the forest throughout Switzerland in a two-person team.
You have a Swiss-recognised qualification as a forest technician HF or forest engineer as well as very good language skills in German and a second national language. Experience in sample surveys is an advantage. You are responsible, organised and flexible. In addition, you work reliably and precisely and move confidently in difficult terrain. Driving licence category B is required.
