Road Maintenance Worker in the Tunnel Cleaning Team
Technical Office | 80-100 % | Thusis
The Technical Office is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of cantonal roads, as well as hydraulic structures and slow mobility in Graubünden. In addition, we take care of the operational maintenance of national roads within the canton. The cantonal road infrastructure includes over 1450 structures, including bridges up to 90 metres high and tunnels up to 3 kilometres long. The challenges that the nature of our mountain canton conceals in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. As a certified office with the Friendly Work Space label, the health and satisfaction of our approximately 480 employees are particularly important to us. For this reason, we are committed to systematic health management in the company (GSA).
For the road maintenance section in district 7 Thusis, we are looking for a road maintenance worker from 1 December 2026 or by agreement.
- Cleaning of tunnels on cantonal and national roads throughout the canton (eight months summer service)
- Carrying out road maintenance work in a small maintenance team
- Clearing and tidying up after accidents or natural events
- Checking the condition of roads and road facilities
- Night service (approx. 8 months per year)
- Winter on-call service (approx. 4 months per year)
- Completed training in the construction sector or as a mechanic
- Manual skills as well as technical and mechanical knowledge
- Willingness to work night shifts and to provide on-call service
- High physical and mental resilience
- Teamwork attitude in a small group
- Category C driving licence or willingness to obtain one
