About the job
The Youth Network Foundation offers outreach as well as (partly) residential psychosocial support for adolescents, young adults and families. Our services are individual, needs- and impact-oriented – from outreach family support to accompanied youth living arrangements to supervised residential groups.
You want to take responsibility, not just watch? Then you are exactly right with us. In the "Family Activation – Youth Team" you meet people who do more than just a job – they show commitment, persevere and make a difference. We support young people in difficult life situations who do not come to us voluntarily – but sometimes stay. We believe: change begins where relationships are formed.
For our dedicated team, we are looking for colleagues with commitment, heart and perseverance – who build genuine relationships with young people, even when it gets difficult, who confront, reflect and remain present, who endure difficult situations. Team players with backbone and humour, who understand youth work not as a sprint but as a shared, long journey.
What you bring:
- You are not simply looking for a job – you enjoy youth coaching and want to work with young people before they completely lose connection.
- You believe that behaviour can be changed – if the will to change is there.
- You work with heart, mind and inner conviction. You don’t need a stage – but you want impact.
- You are reflective, well balanced in your own life and have a private situation that supports this profession.
- You are flexible, open to new things, not afraid of change – because we are constantly evolving.
- You present yourself confidently – whether 25 or 60 years old – and see yourself as the business card of the Youth Network.
- You work interdisciplinarily, take responsibility and are more than a helper: you are someone who believes fewer offences are possible – if someone looks in time and stays involved.
What to expect:
- Flexible, decentralised – but always connected
- Our workday does not take place in the office – but where young people live.
- We work mobile, self-organised and relationship-oriented. Our youth coaches are on the move like satellites – independent in implementation, but always closely networked in the team.
- Regular training, team meetings and case workshops promote exchange, development and collegial support.
- In everyday life, we communicate simply – via phone, email, WhatsApp or spontaneous meetings.
- Our areas of operation include not only the canton of Zurich but also adjacent regions such as Lucerne, Zug, Aargau or Schwyz.
- You do not have to live in the canton of Zurich – what matters is your willingness to be on the move.
- Attractive employment conditions according to the guidelines of the canton of Zurich.
- Your own business mobile phone as well as annual working hours and flexibility in organising your working time.
- Our work does not always end at 5 pm and sometimes takes place at weekends.
