About the job
What you will achieve with us
In the senior consultant role, you will take on tutoring and leadership responsibilities for junior doctors as well as pharmacological coaching of psychologists, supported in this task by the Medical Director of the Outpatient Clinic. Therapeutically, you will work predominantly independently within our interdisciplinary outpatient team with mentally ill people from the entire diagnostic spectrum. You will perceive them in their complex life contexts as well as their competencies and resources. Consistency in case management and respectful negotiation with those affected on an equal footing are important treatment approaches in our service. You will work closely with referring agencies in a multiprofessional team.
What you bring with you
For the predominantly independent work, we expect a completed or well-advanced specialist training in psychiatry and psychotherapy. You are a team-oriented personality who is interested in social psychiatry and enjoys the profession. You approach our patients with empathy and respect. A touch of humour rounds off your profile.
Working with us
We offer varied work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary team. You will have the opportunity, together with a motivated team, to contribute your professional and personal qualities to a diverse working environment. You will be closely supported in your leadership role and can attend paid therapy supervisions from the main therapy schools. Contemporary employment conditions according to the collective labour agreement and progressive social benefits are a matter of course. In addition, if you already have your specialist qualification, you have the opportunity to run a low-percentage private practice independently within the outpatient clinic premises.
