Your main tasks

• Architecture, design and implementation of complex network and security solutions
• Responsibility for cloud network infrastructure and security as well as for the networks of our managed service customers
• Comprehensive analysis of network infrastructures as well as identification and implementation of optimisation potentials
• Configuration, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of complex network environments
• Participation in cross-team technical workgroups and representation of the team’s professional position
• Design and further development of managed services in the area of Network & Security
• Conducting training sessions, workshops and mentoring of network engineers
• Support of customers and partners as well as ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty

Your strengths and knowledge

• Several years of professional experience in the network field, ideally already as a professional network engineer
• Sound knowledge of TCP/IP networks and network protocols
• Extensive experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS, Huawei VRP or Fortinet FortiOS
• Sound knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
• Sound knowledge of network security, e.g. firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN and ZTNA
• Experience in the architecture, implementation and further development of complex network and security solutions
• Project management and leadership experience or willingness to take on professional responsibility
• Strong ability for independent problem solving, decision making and structured implementation
• Experience with ticketing systems as well as handling demanding customer concerns
• Experience in automating network and operational processes (Ansible)
• Certifications in network engineering at professional level, e.g. CCNP, NSE7, are advantageous
• Very good German skills and good English skills, both spoken and written
• Strong communication and presentation skills as well as enjoyment of teamwork and knowledge sharing
• Independent, reliable and confident working style with a holistic view of customers, technology and operations
