We are looking for a dedicated person to join us immediately or by arrangement as

APPLICATION DEVELOPER / FIRE SERVICE APPLICATION DEVELOPER 80%

How you can contribute with us

• Operation, maintenance, and further development of our own IT platforms and applications related to the management and alerting of fire services in the Canton of Zurich
• Design and implementation of new functions, modules, and interfaces (REST APIs)
• Ensuring availability, performance, and security during ongoing operations
• Building, maintaining, and further developing CI/CD pipelines and automated tests
• Service and operations management for our applications (incident, change, and release management)
• Technical documentation as well as collaboration with specialist departments, fire services, and external partners

What you bring with you

• Completed IT training (IT specialist EFZ or equivalent qualification)
• Experience with GitLab, PHP 8.x, OOP and design patterns, REST APIs, SQL and database design, MySQL, Composer, PHPUnit, performance optimisation, security best practices
• Additional: Experience with the Symfony framework (great advantage) and confident handling of Linux environments
• Flexible mindset that can quickly adapt to changing processes and situations
• Open-minded and committed personality with good software engineering know-how
• Fluent German and good English skills
• Desirable: Fire service experience
