As part of strengthening its Engineering team at its Geneva site, our client, an international leader in the ingredients and chemical specialties sector, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to manage high value-added industrial projects.
You will work on investment projects related to growth, maintenance, quality, safety, industrial efficiency and sustainability, from studies to commissioning of the facilities.
Senior Chemical Engineering Project Engineer
Your responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you are responsible for the complete management of your projects, both technical and financial aspects.
In this capacity, you will be required to:
- Carry out basic engineering studies and risk analyses (QHSE, HACCP...)
- Prepare investment files and ensure budget monitoring
- Manage the detailed design phases
- Handle equipment and technical service purchases in collaboration with procurement
- Plan and coordinate work with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Process and HSE teams
- Supervise suppliers and contractors
- Organise FAT and SAT of equipment
- Manage the industrial commissioning phases
- Conduct safety reviews (PSSR/RSAD)
- Ensure the transfer of facilities to operations and maintenance teams
- Close projects and report to Engineering Management
Your profile
- Engineering degree or Master’s (Bac+5) in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
- Approximately 15 years’ experience in industrial project management
- Experience gained in production environments (chemicals, food industry, pharmaceuticals, processes...)
- Mastery of ATEX, DESP standards, HAZOP analyses as well as machine compliance requirements
- Excellent skills in managing industrial investment projects (CAPEX)
- Fluent French and English (spoken and written)
- Autonomy, rigour and excellent coordination skills
- Strong safety culture and continuous improvement
