The Saphir Foundation, a multi-mission and multi-site foundation (psychogeriatrics, geriatrics, adult psychiatry), is active in the medico-social field in the canton of Vaud and in the reception and support of people weakened in their physical and mental integrity during their life process.
We are looking for our establishment, the Alzheimer Rubis shared housing, which accommodates 6 housemates:
Social-Educational Assistant (M/F/D) Permanent Contract between 60% - Alzheimer Rubis Shared Housing
The aim of the Alzheimer Rubis shared housing is to offer a familiar (home-like) environment for as long as possible to people with dementia who can no longer live alone. They live together in a house and participate in all daily life activities (shopping, preparing and having meals together, walking, taking part in social activities, etc.) with the support of life companions.
As a social-educational assistant at the Alzheimer Rubis shared housing, you are committed to supporting the individuals daily in their community living space. In practice, you place the concept of "living space" at the heart of your activities. This is reflected in attentive listening and a thorough knowledge of each person so that they can enjoy greater autonomy. You respect the individuals’ life habits and respond attentively to their wishes to promote their well-being.
YOUR BACKGROUND - YOUR QUALITIES AND SKILLS
- Federal Certificate of Competence as a social-educational assistant
- A certificate as a workplace trainer is an advantage
- Your attitude is centred on the well-being of the individual
- You are flexible, adaptable and organised
- Communication, team spirit and the ability to self-reflect are qualities that define you
- You are proficient with common IT tools (Carefolio) and have an excellent command of the French language
