The EOC, the multisite hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. The organisation effectively combines a local approach with an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and local hospital offer, regardless of where the services are requested.

Thanks to the commitment and expertise of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relations, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.

To complete our new team of the EOC Occupational Medicine Service, we are looking for a:

Chief Physician Occupational Medicine Service EOC (100%)

Profile:

The person we are looking for has professional experience and autonomy in the field of general internal medicine and ideally occupational medicine. They also possess strong motivation, initiative, and a spirit of collaboration and believe, as we do, in the importance of protecting the health of EOC collaborators. They are oriented towards identifying and managing risks related to clinical, industrial, and work activities in general.

Necessary requirements:

• Federal specialisation title in General Internal Medicine in accordance with articles 20 and 21 of the Federal Law on University Medical Professions (LPMed);
• for foreign titles, MEBEKO recognition is required before starting activity at the EOC.
• alternatively (or preferably in addition): federal specialisation title in Occupational Medicine in accordance with articles 20 and 21 of the Federal Law on University Medical Professions (LPMed).

For foreign titles, MEBEKO recognition is required before starting activity

• a good knowledge of the healthcare system and social insurance system in Switzerland
• skills in conducting workplace risk analyses, occupational medical examinations, and preventive tests in accordance with legal standards or willingness to acquire them
• ability to ensure compliance with legal requirements and standards regarding occupational safety and health protection
• good interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as a propensity to collaborate with other company services focused on occupational health and safety
• proficiency in Italian (required level at least B2) with corresponding registration at MedReg before starting activity. Good knowledge of another national language (French, German) and English is also desirable
