Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) was founded in 1971 by doctors and journalists and is today one of the largest independent medical emergency aid organizations in the world. Our teams help people in need in over 75 countries worldwide after natural disasters, during epidemics, or armed conflicts – regardless of their origin, religious or political beliefs.

The Job Description

We are looking for fundraisers to strengthen our fundraising team at Médecins Sans Frontières Switzerland. As a fundraiser, you are responsible for collecting donations to support our humanitarian projects around the world.

You will work closely with our communications team to plan and implement effective fundraising campaigns. You are also responsible for raising public awareness of MSF's humanitarian concerns and attracting new donors.

To be successful in this role, you should be a passionate communicator committed to humanitarian causes. You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team and feel comfortable working outdoors and meeting people from diverse backgrounds.

Education

• Preferably: Retail specialist

• Not a requirement

Experience

• Experience in sales, customer service, or promotions

• Experience as a fundraiser (street talker, fundraiser) is an advantage

• German: Excellent level (spoken & written)

Working Conditions

• Frequent travel throughout German-speaking Switzerland. Common starting point: Zurich.

• Fixed-term contract depending on the duration of the campaigns

• Variable activity rates

• Ideal start date: as soon as possible

• Gross monthly salary for a 100% position: CHF 5,502.-
