Who we are
For over sixty years, the Solothurn Film Festival has presented a current selection of Swiss films each January. The event is one of the most important meeting points of the Swiss film industry as well as a place of encounter between audiences and filmmakers from all parts of the country.For the 62nd edition from 20 – 27 January 2027, the Solothurn Film Festival offers the opportunity to gain an in-depth insight into the preparations and execution of the festival through an internship.

Tasks
The internship includes the following areas of responsibility:• Managing film submissions
• Supporting the viewing weeks with the selection committee
• Responsibility for film procurement, subtitles
• Support in organising SO PRO
• General secretarial tasks
• Assisting at the festival (information stand, jury support, SO PRO)
Requirements
We expect:an open and committed personality with team spirit
Organisational skills, initiative and independence
Basic technical understanding (video/audio) or willingness to acquire it
• Fluent oral and written knowledge of German and French
• High availability and flexibility from October to January
• Interest in Swiss filmmaking and festival operations
We offer:

• Gross salary of CHF 2,000 per month (at 100%), plus 13th month salary (pro rata)
• The internship is primarily aimed at students in the field of film (studies) and/or cultural management. The distribution of the percentage of work over the duration of the employment is irregular, with a higher workload from October – January. The workplace is Solothurn.
