Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you develop or design products, systems or technologies by leading and managing the execution of one or more R&D projects to achieve the project goals. You coordinate the work of local and cross-functional project teams. You take the lead in collaboration with local managers, the steering committee, product management and external partners, ensuring value creation.
The working model: onsite
You are primarily responsible for:
- Project management: You plan, organise and lead projects, assign tasks and motivate cross-functional teams as well as apply project management and decision-making processes Execution management: monitor milestones, track costs, manage changes and complaints according to defined processes
- Risk and quality: identify risks, supervise prototyping activities and ensure timely delivery
- Stakeholder management: effective communication across project teams and maintaining relationships with internal functions, R&D teams, customers and external partners
- Reporting: preparation of comprehensive project reports and tracking financial performance You will be part of an international team in our technology centre and will also collaborate with group-wide research centres and external stakeholders, among others.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in project management as well as experience in development engineering
- Solid knowledge of project management methods and their successful application
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
- Comprehensive technical know-how in the development of low-voltage products, including mechanical and electrical systems, design and assembly processes
- Confident use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and ideally experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks)
- Initiative, quick comprehension, solution-oriented working style as well as experience in collaborating with global suppliers, development and manufacturing sites
