About the job
In this exciting role, you will engage deeply with financial market law and apply your analytical and investigative skills purposefully. You will conduct investigations into activities that may not have the required financial market licences, focusing in particular on novel business models in the fintech and blockchain sectors as well as investor fraud schemes.
Main Responsibilities
- Conducting investigations against companies that may be in breach of financial market licensing requirements
- Financial market legal assessment of the activities identified in the investigated companies
- Developing measures to protect investors and enforce financial market licensing obligations
- Representing the conducted investigations and analyses before FINMA's decision-making bodies
- Contributing to the consolidation and further development of enforcement practices
Profile
- Completed Master’s degree in Law from a Swiss university
- Bar admission, LL.M. or doctoral degree
- Several years of relevant professional experience, particularly in a large law firm, a financial institution, or an authority
- Interest in fintech topics and technology-based business models
- Knowledge in the area of regulatory scope or investigative experience is an advantage
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Very good German (C2) and English skills (C1), French or Italian skills (B1) are an advantage
