Cost Engineer 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

• You are responsible for the Design-To-Cost process

• You support the development project manager in identifying cost reduction potentials within the product development process

• Determination of manufacturing costs for existing and newly created items at the injection moulding machine level as well as for their assemblies and sales options

• Conducting target cost analyses, cost benchmarks and plausibility checks for key components

• Further development of costing methods to determine manufacturing costs

• Creation and maintenance of costing guidelines for design & project teams

• Contact person for product cost issues within the area of responsibility

• Ad hoc support for general controlling topics

What do I need to be successful?

• Engineer FH/ETH in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable field with a desire to engage in business management

• Experience in cost engineering (for example, zero-based costing, value engineering or others), initial experience in R&D controlling

• Working methodology regarding design-to-cost

• Practical experience in manufacturing and design

• Knowledge of product costing and cost analysis

• Good knowledge and interest in various manufacturing technologies, focus on mechanical processing

• SAP knowledge desirable in the areas of MM, CO

• Strong assertiveness and moderation skills in interdisciplinary teams

• German and English skills, spoken and written
