The Office for the Commercial Register and Notaries maintains a public register in the area of the commercial register and acts as a notary for certifications in commercial register matters, matrimonial property, and inheritance law. Furthermore, the notary office is active in the field of administrative inheritance law and is responsible for inheritance security measures as well as official inheritance divisions.
We are looking for an
Official Notary and Corporate Law Specialist (m/f/d)
from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement
Workload: 80-100%
Workplace: St. Gallen
What to expect
- Independent public certification in the field of corporate law
- Independent processing and preliminary examination of registration transactions (foundation, amendments to statutes, capital increases, mergers, etc.) of public limited companies, limited liability companies, cooperatives, associations, foundations, and branches of domestic and foreign companies, as well as extraordinary or complex cases involving sole proprietorships and partnerships
- Handling cases in the area of official procedures as well as preparation of submissions and statements to the court
- Advising companies, lawyers, and trustees
What distinguishes you
- Completed law degree (lic. iur. or Master)
- Ideally some initial legal professional experience, e.g. in business, law firms, notary offices, or fiduciary services
- Ability to adapt well to different perspectives and arguments when working with lawyers and trustees
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop appropriate and practical solutions
- Team-oriented personality with enthusiasm for collaboration
- Precise, efficient, and structured way of working
