Amcor Flexibles Rorschach AG is a company of Amcor Limited, one of the world's largest suppliers of responsible packaging solutions. With around 300 employees, we refine aluminum foils and other materials into recyclable packaging materials. We are looking for a Colorist Printing Inks (m/f/d) immediately or by arrangement.
Your main tasks
- Mixing printing inks including solvents for the production equipment according to recipe specifications (Pantone) and depending on production fine planning
- Creating color proofs with laboratory sheet gravure printing machine (lab tester)
- Operating the dosing system (Tecos Bruhin)
- Quality control of prepared printing inks (color assessment using light cabin and spectrophotometer)
- Ensuring timely and correct preparation of all necessary printing inks for the production machines
- Creating initial recipes for new products according to customer specifications
- Optimizing existing color recipes
- Managing and controlling inventory
Your profile
- Completed technical vocational training (ideally printing technologist, painter, lacquer laboratory technician) and/or professional experience in a printing company
- Knowledge of colors and color space
- Color confidence as well as reliable color vision
- Knowledge in handling color measurement systems and recipe software is an advantage
- Initiative, independent and structured working style
- PC user experience (MS Office)
- Forklift license (advantageous)
- Willingness to work in shifts
- Good language skills in German
