About the job
The Cantonal Health Centre Appenzell ensures high-quality healthcare and care in old age for the population of Appenzell and Innerrhoden. An important aspect is covering the demand for inpatient beds for people who temporarily rely on professional care – whether during or after an acute illness, for short-term need of more intensive care, after an inpatient procedure in a central hospital, or to accompany in the final phase of life. This is made possible by the short-term and transitional care Sonnwendlig.
For our team, we are looking for a Health Specialist from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Individual and resource-oriented care and nursing of our residents
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with general practitioners, therapists, and other specialist departments of the Cantonal Health Centre Appenzell
- Co-responsibility for medication management
- Quality assurance and further development of care
We expect
- Training as a Health Specialist with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (EFZ)
- Professional experience in long-term care is an advantage
- Communicative and decisive person who appreciates working with elderly people
- Enjoyment of independent working methods
- Good knowledge of German
- Good PC user skills (experience with BESA is an advantage)
