We are looking for an experienced Cobol developer for a long-term assignment directly at the client site in the Zurich area. The role is 100% on-site. Start date by arrangement.
Main tasks:
- Further development and maintenance of existing Cobol applications
- Analysis of requirements from the banking environment and their technical implementation
- Bug fixing, performance optimizations, and stabilization of productive systems
- Support in the testing process as well as in releases and deployments
- Close collaboration with departments, business analysts, and test teams
Requirements
- Several years of experience in Cobol development (Mainframe)
- Solid knowledge of the banking environment (accounts, payments, loans, etc.)
- Experience with batch processing, JCL, DB2 or similar technologies
- Structured, reliable, and independent working style
- Fluent German; English is an advantage
Nice to have
- Experience in large, complex IT landscapes
- Willingness to share knowledge within the team
- Understanding of testing methodology (ISTQB is an advantage but not mandatory)
