Introduction

The Social Action Service of Courtelary is looking for a versatile Social Worker to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about social work and wish to handle various cases such as social assistance files and adult and child guardianship mandates, this opportunity is for you!

Responsibilities

As a versatile Social Worker, your main tasks will include:

• Supporting and assisting individuals and families in their social procedures.
• Assessing the needs of beneficiaries and proposing appropriate solutions.
• Collaborating with the Jura Bernois network and surrounding areas and institutions to coordinate interventions.
• Ensuring the administrative follow-up of files and writing reports for the Adult and Child Protection Authority.
• Establishing social assistance budgets.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:

• Degree in social work from a University of Applied Sciences or equivalent training recognised in Switzerland.
• Experience in the social field is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of IT tools and social management software.
• Knowledge of social institutions and aid systems in Switzerland.
• Knowledge of German.
