Job description
This position is attached to the Energy Systems group of the Institute of Environmental Sciences, which conducts interdisciplinary research on energy systems, with a focus on demand management, improving energy efficiency, and integrating renewable energies.
The specificity of the Energy Systems Group lies in a problem-based approach, founded on feedback from innovative projects and programmes conducted by field actors.
Main activities
The mission of the position concerns the measurement of energy systems in usage situations, and in particular the following activities:
- Maintenance and design of measuring devices, as well as training and supervision of users
- Planning of measurement campaigns in the field, in connection with external partners to the University
- Creation and monitoring of measurement databases, in collaboration with the system administrator.
The mission of the position is to carry out these tasks, under the direction of the hierarchical supervisor, in collaboration with other members of the research team and with external partners.
Required title and skills
Basic training: Federal VET Diploma as a physics laboratory technician, Higher Technician in electrical engineering, or other training deemed equivalent/adequate for the position.
Assets: certification allowing intervention on electrical cabinets; calibration of measuring instruments; understanding of a building's technical installation; training or knowledge in computer science.
Basic or confirmed experience (one year or more) in the relevant field.
Autonomy, initiative, organisational skills, ease in interpersonal contacts.
