About the job
Psychosocial
Social worker within the Addiction Medicine Service of the DP
The hospital unit of the Addiction Medicine Service of the Department of Psychiatry at CHUV is looking for a social worker at a 70% activity rate, for a start date on April 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon, on a permanent contract.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Addiction Medicine Service offers inpatient and outpatient treatments. Addiction is a complex disease involving biological, psychological, and social factors. Effective treatment takes all these factors into account and requires a bio-psycho-social approach. The Addiction Medicine Service (SMA) also conducts training and research activities.
The Addiction Medicine Hospital Unit (UHMA) offers a multidisciplinary approach to managing addiction disorders. It provides scheduled or emergency stays. The UHMA notably cares for people with substance use disorders and associated psychiatric pathologies for whom traditional outpatient care is insufficient and who require specific hospitalizations as well as significant network coordination.
