Legal Service, Health Office Graubünden | 70-80 % | Chur
The Health Office is a central and versatile department of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. It enforces federal and cantonal legal provisions and thus makes a significant contribution to a high-quality, safe and sustainable healthcare system in the canton.
The office is divided into the following specialist areas: authorisations and supervision of health professions and institutions, cantonal medical service, medicinal and narcotics control, finance and controlling, health promotion and prevention as well as the Graubünden sanitary emergency call.
The Legal Service plays a central and effective role in the supervision of persons and businesses in the healthcare sector. It advises and supports the department as well as the specialist divisions in all legal matters, provides legal information on health law and coordinates the enforcement of the health insurance obligation. Furthermore, it actively participates in legislative projects and ordinance revisions and is responsible for drafting orders and administrative law contracts. You can expect a varied field of activity at the interface of law and health.

To strengthen our Legal Service, we are looking for an experienced legal professional with sound knowledge of the Swiss legal system to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- Drafting official orders and assisting in the preparation and conception of departmental orders and government decisions
- Editing and drafting administrative law contracts
- Participation in legislative revisions
- Supporting municipalities in implementing the compulsory health insurance
- Independent execution and management of supervisory administrative and disciplinary proceedings, proceedings concerning release from professional secrecy, as well as offence proceedings
- Preparing consultations for the department or the federal government
- Versatile legal clarifications in the health sector and providing information to authorities, private individuals, etc.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and cross-departmental exchange
What we expect from you
- Completed studies in law (licentiate or MLaw)
- Several years of professional experience in public administration, judiciary or legal practice in Switzerland
- Independent, structured and careful working style
- Linguistic fluency and confident oral and written expression in German
- Interest in political processes and contexts
- Team spirit, flexibility and enjoyment of versatile, interdisciplinary work
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
