Job description
Amaris is currently recruiting an Automation Engineer to join its teams located in Biel, Switzerland.
We are looking for a person passionate about industrialization and the implementation of highly automated production lines. You will be at the heart of deploying new manufacturing solutions, working closely with machine builders and multidisciplinary teams.
🔥 Your responsibilities
- Lead the industrialization and technical validation of new automated production lines.
- Support machine manufacturers in the design, development, debugging, and optimization of equipment (PLC, robotics, industrial vision).
- Actively participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SAT (Site Acceptance Tests) **ensuring complete traceability of tests and validations.
- Define, execute, and document test protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) within a rigorous quality framework.
- Ensure on-site machine integration and their ramp-up maturity.
- Write and maintain technical documentation: test reports, diagrams, procedures, validation plans.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to guarantee process robustness and reliability.
🎯 Your profile
- Higher technical education (Bac+3/5) in automation, electromechanics, robotics, or industrial engineering.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in industrial automation for production lines.
- Versatility in mastering PLCs (Siemens or Rockwell or Beckhoff), robotics (Fanuc or ABB or Stäubli).
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0, industrial IT, and MES would be a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and practical sense.
- Operational English (read, written, spoken); fluent French mandatory.
- Autonomous, structured, and a good communicator, you enjoy teamwork and coordination with external partners.
