About the job
This is what you can achieve
In your role, you work directly on the Swiss Air Force fighter jets and mainly take on the following tasks:
- Maintenance & servicing: Carrying out scheduled maintenance intervals including replacement & testing of systems
- Repairs & troubleshooting: Analysing error messages, troubleshooting processes and structural repairs
- Modification and inspection orders: Visual and functional checks after each flight (aircraft and system condition)
- Work documentation and quality management
- Attending internal training courses and sessions
This is what you bring with you
- Completed vocational training (EFZ) in the mechanical field, e.g. as a polymechanic, plant and apparatus builder, mechatronics technician, diagnostician or comparable
- Strong technical skills
- Conversational English skills (level B1/B2) desired (additionally French skills for Payerne)
- High commitment and flexibility
- Resilient personality with team player qualities, strong sense of responsibility/safety awareness and precise and reliable working methods
- Swiss citizenship
