We design data-driven solutions to support analysis, reporting and decision-making for Finance & Risk within the Swiss Life Group. Currently, we are building a modern, analytical data platform from scratch, which serves as the central foundation for reporting, advanced analytics and machine learning applications. In our interdisciplinary environment, we combine professional expertise with modern technology to create sustainable data solutions with real added value.

• You actively shape the redevelopment and further development of a modern, cloud-based data platform and contribute to standards, best practices and architectural decisions
• You are responsible for the design, construction, operation and continuous improvement of robust and scalable data pipelines as well as data models
• You ensure data quality, reliability, monitoring/observability and thorough documentation across all data products
• You extract data from SAP as well as other internal and external (SaaS) source systems, prepare it and integrate it in a structured manner into the platform
• You provide data for reporting and analysis applications in collaboration with business units, especially Finance and Reporting
• You analyse and resolve data issues in production and ensure stable operation
• You have basic experience in advanced analytics or machine learning as well as in data preparation for machine learning models

• Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, business informatics or a comparable qualification with a strong focus on data engineering
• Three to five years of experience as a data engineer in cloud and SaaS-based data platforms, ideally in the financial sector
• Very good knowledge of SQL and Python
• Sound experience with data warehousing concepts and analytical data models
• Practical experience with CI/CD processes, infrastructure as code (IaC) and DevOps-related working methods in the data environment
• Experience with API integrations and cloud architectures, ideally Snowflake
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
