The EOC, the multi-site hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. The organisation effectively combines a local approach with an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and local hospital offer, regardless of where the services are requested.
Thanks to the commitment and expertise of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relationships, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.
The Internal Medicine Service of the Lugano Regional Hospital carries out its clinical activity at the Civic Hospital site, where it has about 90 dedicated inpatient beds. The Service ensures both a proximity function for the population of the Lugano region and a role as a cantonal reference centre for complex pathologies. Approximately 4,000 patients are admitted annually in inpatient form. The Service is certified as a category A professional training centre for Internal Medicine.
To complete our team of the Internal Medicine Service of the Lugano Regional Hospital, we are looking for a
Internal Medicine Assistant Physician (100%)
Profile:
The person we are looking for is motivated to offer patients coordinated, rational care attentive to their needs, collaborating in an academic, interdisciplinary and multiprofessional environment. Interest in training, efficiency at work, a sense of responsibility and a spirit of collegiality complete the candidate’s profile.
Necessary requirements:
- Swiss state examination in human medicine or equivalent foreign degree;
- For doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition of the title by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions (MEBEKO) and registration with MedReg are mandatory at the time of application.
- Preferably, at least one year of work experience in Internal Medicine gained in Switzerland.
- Proven knowledge of the Italian language with related certification at MedReg before starting the activity (level B2); knowledge of other national languages and English is desirable.
- Structured training path in general Internal Medicine at an ISFM category A training centre.
- Possibility of interdisciplinary collaboration and specialist rotations in a cantonal reference hospital context.
- Diversified clinical activity in the care of patients with acute and complex pathologies.
- Careful clinical supervision and continuous training.
