Psychologist in Psychotherapy Training - Focus on Psycho-oncology

The University Clinic for Medical Oncology combines highly specialised patient care with research, teaching, and innovation. We offer all services for diagnosis, therapy planning, tumour treatment, and follow-up care for cancer diseases.

What to expect

• Psychological support for patients with cancer and their relatives in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Conducting psycho-oncological conversations and psychotherapeutic interventions under professional supervision
• Support in coping with disease-related burdens, anxieties, and depressive symptoms
• Support for patients with existential questions in curative and palliative treatment contexts
• Close interprofessional collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, social workers, chaplaincy, and other specialist disciplines
• Active contribution to holistic, patient-centred care by bringing in your psychological expertise

What you bring

• Master's degree in Psychology
• Started training in Psychotherapy
• Interest in psycho-oncology and supporting people with cancer
• Enjoyment of interprofessional collaboration in a university environment
• Empathetic personality with strong social and communication skills
• Independent, responsible, and reflective working style
