Your mission
You are the technical key figure between customer, sales, and engineering. You understand business requirements, translate them into robust connectivity and data center solutions, and successfully close them together with sales.
Specifically, this means:
- Technical consulting and support for demanding enterprise and carrier projects
- Analysis of customer requirements and design of suitable connectivity & data center solutions
- Development of solution concepts and variants in collaboration with product management, engineering, and operations
- Active participation or lead in tenders (RFP/RFQ)
- Technical evaluation of partner offers and obtaining quotes
- Calculation, creation, and presentation of offers
- Support of the sales team during customer appointments, presentations, and decision-making
- Close cooperation with internal teams to ensure a clean handover to implementation
What you bring
- Technical basic training with advanced education or studies (e.g., electrical/computer engineer, HF/FH)
- Several years of experience in the network, data center, or connectivity environment (ideally pre-sales, engineering, or technical sales)
- Very good understanding of networks (Layer 1–3), especially:
Routing, Switching, Security - Practical experience with Cisco and/or Juniper (focus on Juniper is an advantage)
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Juniper, etc. are a plus but not a must
- Ability to present technical concepts clearly and convincingly
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
- Hands-on mentality, implementation strength, and ownership mindset
- Team player with joy in direct customer contact
- Confident German and very good English (internal DE, external often EN)
- Business understanding is an advantage (offer calculations, profitability of solutions)
