About the job
Living Diversity
As the largest social enterprise in the Basel area, we offer meaningful work, self-determined living, as well as comprehensive care and support at BSB (Bürgerspital Basel) with around 1,600 employees.
The Youth Promotion Course offers young people with disabilities a one-year programme for career choice and targeted preparation for future training. In the group-dynamically designed learning field, participants acquire key qualifications and gain initial work experience.
Your Role
You lead the craft workshop and supervise young people and young adults within the framework of a vocational integration measure in craft work and projects. In doing so, you specifically promote work-related basic skills and prepare the young people for vocational training. You plan and organise the work training and lead groups of three to ten young people. You professionally document observations on work and social behaviour and incorporate these into reporting and interdisciplinary exchange.
Depending on requirements, assignments in other settings of the Youth Promotion Course are possible, especially in gastronomy, the textile studio, the bicycle workshop, as well as in vocational preparation and school lessons.
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training (EFZ) supplemented by further education in the agogic field
- Several years of professional experience working with young people and dealing with people with disabilities
- Effective presence and strong communication skills
- Empathetic personality
- Independent and solution-oriented working style
Your Benefits
- Exciting field of work in a lively, dynamic and learning organisation
- Freedom for professional and personal development
- Thorough introduction to the company
- Modern workplace, easily accessible by public transport (you benefit from a discounted TNW subscription)
- Attractive public-law employment conditions
